Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Valley of the Sun YMCA Turkey Trot! Volunteers are essential to making this event a success, and we couldn't do it without you.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Bib Pickup/Expo Support

Location: Tempe Family YMCA, 7070 S Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283
Pre-Race Pickup Shifts:

• Tuesday, November 24: 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM
• Wednesday, November 25: 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Race Morning Shift: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM (Tempe Beach Park)

Help participants pick up their race bibs and packets. Greet runners, check registration lists, and hand out race materials. Great customer service and organizational skills are appreciated!

Water Station

Location: Along the race course
Shift Time: 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Cheer on runners and provide water at designated stations along the route. You'll be keeping our participants hydrated and motivated!

Medal Distribution

Location: Finish line area, Tempe Beach Park
Shift Time: 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Congratulate finishers and distribute medals as they cross the finish line. Be part of celebrating every runner's accomplishment!

Food/Water Giveaway & Finish Line Festival

Location: Finish line festival area, Tempe Beach Park
Shift Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Help distribute post-race refreshments, snacks, and beverages to participants. Keep the nutrition station organized and ensure runners have what they need to recover.

What to Expect: All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, and our heartfelt gratitude! Please arrive 15-30 minutes before your shift for check-in and orientation.
